St Bartholomew`s Hospital was founded in 1123 by the monk Rahere and granted to the City of London by King Henry VIII.
Meeting at the Henry VIII gate outside St Bartholomew`s Hospital, the walk includes a visit to St Bartholomew the Less, an amazing range of architecture ancient and modern and stories of body snatchers, heroic and pioneering medics and nurses. We will have access to visit the newly conserved North Wing with its splendid Great Hall and spectacular paintings by William Hogarth.
The walks take place monthly on Wednesdays at 1.30pm
