Free guided walks led by City of London Guides
The Lord Mayor's Show will take place between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 8th November.
This year is particularly special! The 2025 event celebrates a historic milestone as Dame Susan Langley DBE, the 697th holder of the office, is the first to adopt the title of 'Lady Mayor of London', marking only the third time a woman has held the post in over 800 years!
The procession travels from The Mansion House via Cheapside and St Paul’s Cathedral to the Royal Courts of Justice. It returns via the Embankment and Victoria Street.
After you've cheered on the floats and admired the state coach, we invite you to truly step into the Square Mile's incredible history with the official City of London Guides.
The City of London is amazing, and we will help you discover its delights. The City, or the Square Mile, is the financial heart of London. It’s been central to British history for centuries and contains historic buildings from many ages. Your guide will take you to fascinating places and tell stories of people, events and traditions connected with the City, including the Lord Mayor’s Show.
Tours start straight after the Lord Mayor's Show, at 3pm shall be leaving every few minutes until 4pm and last about 60 minutes.
Starting from No 1 Poultry, the large pink and white building near Mansion House, by Bank underground station (exit 9). The pace is gentle and suitable for all ages. The routes will be wheelchair friendly, with no steps and few hills.
There’s no need to book - just turn up. The walks are free, but we’d welcome a donation to the new Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

There are two walks.
Eastern Bridges from Blackfriars Bridge to Tower Bridge
Western Bridges from Blackfriars Bridge to Westminster Bridge
Our daily walks run from the City Information Centre, just south of St Paul's. You need to book via Eventbrite to secure you place. Note: the cut-off time for booking our daily walks is 21:00hrs the night before. If we don't have any bookings then the walk will not take place. Read our policy on Refunds.
