Biography

Having lived in London for most of my life, I’m delighted to be able to show people around my favourite city and tell the stories that make it such a fascinating place. I’m a qualified City of London tour guide.

As a former English teacher and journalist, I’m particularly interested in the writers who have brought the City’s history to life, such as Charles Dickens, Samuel Johnson and Samuel Pepys. I’m also interested in revealing the hidden stories of women in the City.

Reviews

Sisters in the City

'I really enjoyed the Sisters in the City tour I did with Jenny Mill as my guide!  I found out some really interesting facts about women in London.  Jenny told us some lovely stories, delivered in a clear, engaging and friendly manner.  She was so easy to listen to and the tour was pitched just right - not too long and with just the right amount of walking.  I will definitely do another one of Jenny's tours and look forward to see what she will offer next!'

London's River

'Jenny's riverside walk was excellent. Informative, interesting and nicely paced. I'll definitely sign up for more!'

Butchers, Bakers and Basketmakers

'We thought we knew a bit about the City of London and its livery companies but everything on this tour was new and fascinating. Jenny's descriptions contained just the right mix of erudition and humour to keep our group's attention on a rainy Saturday morning. Highly recommended"

Boz and the Two Sams

Although I have lived in London for 30 years, this tour took us down lots of little alleys I had never been down before, and I found places I would want to go back to eg Samuel Pepys House.

The tour was a light hearted look at these three authors, relating it to what they had written, but with insights into who they were as people. Would recommend this tour.
