Biography

Having worked for the NHS I have a particular interest in the History of Medicine and have guided a number of groups around the City and the East End of London with a special focus on the social and medical history of these areas.

I also have a special interest in the Gardens and Open Spaces of the City of London including the plants, trees, history and stories of these unique and often little known spaces.

Qualifications

(1998) Diploma in History of Medicine from Society of Apothecaries (DHMSA)

(2010/11) Birkbeck University of London - short courses in:

Guided Tours

I specialise in guiding tours of the Medical History of the City of London including Barts Hospital and the surrounding area, the City's Gardens and Open Spaces and the Guildhall Art Gallery.

I also do tours of the River Thames from the City out to Shadwell and Wapping in East London.
