City Highlights Guided Walk: Sundays

The Top 10 sights

The City is home to some of some of the finest and most iconic buildings of London. Enjoy an insider's tour of the City, including Guildhall, Mansion House, the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange - grand buildings in the heart of a city where big money and history are still being made.

Among the highlights you’ll see are:

  • St Paul’s Cathedral - Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece
  • St Mary-le-Bow, with its stunning steeple and connections with Cockneys and Dick Whittington
  • Guildhall, home to the Corporation of London and the neighbouring Guildhall Art Gallery
  • Mercers’ Hall - one of the 110 livery companies that still pay an important part in City Life
  • The Bank of England, Mansion House and Royal Exchange: a trio of tremendously important buildings, at the heart of the City

Daily walks from the City Information Centre start again on September 14th

We are delighted to announce the return of our daily guided walks in the heart of the City of London!  One every day of the week at 11.00 am.  All places must be booked in advance to ensure we maintain small group sizes which can be socially distanced.  We are really excited to be able to take you around the extraordinary Square Mile once more.  Full details when you click on the photos below.

Culture Corridor Walks until October 30th

Come on in to the City!  We are delighted to be working with the City Corporation on a new programme of walks starting on August 29th until October 30th. Following a carefully planned route in small groups using social distancing and technology to give you the best experience, there will be one walk each day from a borough that borders the City: Westminster (Saturdays), Lambeth (Sundays), Camden (Mondays), Islington (Tuesdays), Southwark (Wednesdays), Tower Hamlets (Thursdays), Hackney (Fridays). Thanks to support from the City of London Corporation, all are free. If you live locally, or even if you don't, this is the perfect time to explore and discover what has happened and who has walked these streets in years gone by.  The streets are very quiet so you have the chance to stop and stare without pressure.  Find out more and reserve your place by clicking on the photos below..

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Temple Bar Trust.   You are invited to join six City Guides for series of live broadcast virtual walks around the City. The series will include the fascinating history of Temple Bar, Paternoster Square, St Pauls, the life, and work of Sir Christopher Wren and some of the wonderful but often overlooked statues and sculptures nearby.  Find out more and book here: https://templebartrust.org/walks

Note: We try to make our walks as inclusive and accessible as possible.

If you want a walk or lecture for a group of people, then please use our Find a Guide section.
