City Highlights Guided Walk: Tuesday and Friday afternoons

The Top Ten Sites in the City of London

Our City Highlights tour combines centuries of history with modern grandeur, highlighting the top 10 landmarks that define London. During this tour you will see:

  • St. Paul's Cathedral, a landmark on London's skyline, an important part of both London's history and spiritual life.
  • The Guildhall, a grand mediaeval building, that has been the seat of City governance for centuries.
  • Mansion House, which is the Lord Mayor of London's official residence. This elegant Georgian structure represents the wealth and prestige of the City.
  • The Bank of England, also known as "The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street," formed in the 17th century and still plays a significant role in British and global finance.
  • St Mary-le-Bow, known for the Bow Bells and associated with being a true Londoner.

This tour will give you an understanding of how London's past and present are linked. You'll see how these landmarks not only reflect history, but also continue to play important roles in the daily lives of one of the world's most important financial centres.
