David - your guide – is a man of multiple talents:
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), David took a degree in Classics and taught in Cairo, travelling widely in the Middle East, followed by postgrad study in technology.
Following this he has worked in the Square Mile for over 25 years – starting at the bottom as a temp mailroom/photocopy operator and ending at the dizzy heights of a Vice President of a global investment bank.
In November 2020 he launched a new career as a tour guide and magician, and is currently in the top 20 of TripAdvisor London tours out of over 1500 entries, with over 200 5 star reviews.
He has always loved poking round the odd corners of the City and in 2017 qualified in the prestigious and very competitive Corporation of London City Guides course, and is now a proud guide not only for the whole of the Square Mile, but also Stationers' Hall and the newly opened Roman Bathhouse in Billingsgate.
Now in 2020 he has qualified as an equally prestigious City of Westminster guide too!
He is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Livery Member of the Worshipful Company of Stationers who date back to 1403.
In addition to all this he has a secret life as … The Delusionist, Master of Magic!
David Harry – aka the Delusionist - is an engaging entertainer, combining an easy-going charm and stunning magic to make your event memorable beyond belief.
As a Corporate entertainer he specialises in Close Up Magic, and in June 2017 David performed in Cabaret at the world famous Glastonbury Festival.
He is the house magician at top London comedy club "Pull The Other One", as well as regular appearances at the Hampstead Comedy Club and "Sybarite Nights" at the Leyden Gallery in Spitalfields.
He has performed at the Royal Academy, Twickenham Stadium, Stationers' Hall, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the BFI Southbank, the Park Lane Hilton and many Charity events.
More recently during the Coronavirus pandemic he has also branched out into Virtual tours too and is an extremely experienced zoom guide.
