English speaking guide with an excellent knowledge of most aspects of the City of London including its multi-faceted history from the Romans to its establishment as a finance hub, its buildings, open spaces, little known stories, quirks and charm that make it unique.
About me
Currently working as a Civil Servant in Whitehall following a career in the military. I have travelled widely, and experienced many different cultures, but nothing quite beats the City of London for me.
I'm a Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Butchers, an official City of London Guide, and unlike most other guides you'll meet I actually live in the City. I walk its streets and alleys every day, and have learnt its little-known stories, surprising facts and quirks, and have access to places usually off limits.
I like to bring the Square Mile to life in an informative, thought-provoking and fun way. I can do tours to suit whatever you're after, whether it's a standard tour of the City, covering all the important bits from 2,000 years of history, to tours more focused on particular elements like the Romans, the Great Fire, the Blitz, finance, architecture, churches, pubs or even quirky London (which I love).

"The City tour we had was great and I learnt interesting information about places I have been walking past for over 20 years and not even realised the history behind them. Great tour, very interesting and informative, and I would highly recommend." Tim, Surrey
"Thank you so very much for the wonderful tour. I enjoyed it so much. Your knowledge was incredible and the delivery absolutely perfect. I learned so much. It was absolutely fascinating." Sue, England
"I never knew there was so much hidden gems in such a small area. I feel privileged to have been able to attend this guided tour, and as a history buff I did not want it to end." Gareth, East Grinstead
