A Woolly Tale of the City

Annual Sheep Drive Across London Bridge

Sunday 29 September 2019

As you flock to see Freemen of the City of London drive sheep across London Bridge, why not join us for a walk afterwards? Led by one of the official City of London Guides, ewe'll see secret places of the City and hear a few woolly stories. The walks take place every hour, on the hour, from 11am to 3pm inclusive. Meet on the northwest side of London Bridge.

Cost: £12 per person, with all profits going to charity: The Lord Mayor's Appeal and the Woolmen's Charitable Trust.

Nearly all the regular walks and tours offered on this website are just turn up and pay or free. For these walks no advanced booking is possible. There are only a few tours that need to be booked in advance (Illuminated River, Smithfield Market, Leadenhall Market walks and Guildhall and the Roman Bath House tours) because of restricted numbers.

Note: tours run every day of the year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. In exceptional circumstances we may not have a guide available and we'll let the City Information Centre know.

If you want a walk or lecture for a group of people, then please use our Find a Guide section.
