Biography

A Londoner by birth, I have lived in London all my life and worked in the City of London for more than thirty years and within the Lloyd’s insurance market.

I feel that I have a strong affinity with the City, with how it continues to change and grow, want to convey the perspective of the history beneath our feet, and all that surrounds both the City worker and Visitor on a daily basis.

I am also a member of the  Camden Tour Guides Association,  the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association and a qualified Clerkenwell and Islington guide.

I have a Masters Degree in History from Cambridge, that dates from the last century.

Most importantly I want to pass on my knowledge and love of London to others, both Londoners and visitors, this is part of a process of interpreting the City and relating it’s stories to a new generation of visitors and workers.

I have a particular interest in the east of the City, and the institutions around Leadenhall Market, and in particular Lloyd’s of London. I am also very interested in the development of the Culture Mile, and the opportunities to guide and volunteer in all parts of the City, and beyond.
