Biography

Neil Sinclair is a freelance business journalist who loves to inject as many amusing, entertaining and sometimes downright wacky anecdotes as possible into his guided walks.

Walks with Neil are always entertaining and informative. He mixes history, architecture, art, literature and famous film locations into walks which always go way beyond the usual bland guidebook fare.

Qualifications

City of London tour guide since 2009 and an official Greenwich Guide since 2007.

Southwark Cathedral and Bankside guide since 2008.

Clerkenwell & Islington guide from 2011; completed Guildhall Art Gallery guiding course in 2012; qualified in 2013 as a City of Westminster tour guide and 2015 as Camden guide.

Guided Tours

Neil leads guided tours from one hour's duration up to a full day.

He guides regularly in the City of London, Westminster, Camden, Clerkenwell, Greenwich, around Southwark Cathedral and the Bankside and Borough High Street areas.

Neil also undertakes riverside walks from Westminster to Greenwich, including specialised tours on Shakespeare, Dickens, Pepys and other literary figures.

Neil gives illustrated lectures on a wide variety of topics and areas of London, including Radicals and Revolutionaries in Clerkenwell, Gambling in Mayfair, Elizabethan & Jacobean Southwark, Fleet Street and Journalism in the City. the Great Fires of London & Southwark, and London's Rivers.
