Biography

I’ve lived in London for more than 30 years and started my career in the City as a solicitor.  I then decided to return to my first love which is history and after completing an MA in Medieval History, I became a guide.  I now spend my time working part-time as a lawyer, guiding in the City of London and torturing my neighbours when I practice my guitar playing.  I’m particularly interested in the legacy of slavery in the City, medieval London and the City’s architecture and churches and love to share stories of this extraordinary place.

I'm part of Six in the City, a group of 9 guides who guide in the City of London and you can find all my walks on the Six in the City website.  We're all friends who trained as guides at the same time and now guide together in the City.

I’m also happy to create bespoke tours on subjects of particular interest to you.

As well as guiding in the City, you’ll also find me leading tours in the Guildhall Art Gallery and at the Open House Festival.
