I have lived and worked in London for 40 years and I never tire of the City’s stories, secrets and surprises and I don’t think I ever will!
The City is an endless source of amazement, inspiration and fun and the real joy of guiding is being able to share the City and its magic, with both visitors and Londoners alike.
I spent my career in HR, where working with lots of different people, sharing knowledge and leading enjoyable group events were key elements of my role. Not dissimilar to guiding!
The City has so much to offer, and at times it can exhaust us - but the City itself can never be exhausted ….!
I believe that every guided walk in the City should include a wow factor and my ‘Walks with Wow’ do just that.
These are curated two hour walks telling the fascinating stories behind a selection of special places in the City of London that just make you want to say "Wow!"
Depending on the particular walk we may we may be uncovering the Romans, walking along the river, following the route of the Great Fire, looking at 17th-21st century architecture, stepping inside Wren churches, viewing bridges, visiting markets, or being inspired by ancient ruins, all interspersed with some of the key people who helped make our City.
Reviews for Walks with Wow
‘Seeing Debbie bring the streets to life was fantastic. As someone who works in the City several days a week, it’s astonishing how much we miss during our daily commutes.’
‘I really liked the variety and not knowing where we were going or what we were going to see next and I did say wow quite a few times!’
‘If you're looking for a fresh team-bonding activity or simply want to take your staff out of the office for a captivating couple of hours, I can’t recommend a guided walk with Debbie enough.’
