Biography

Fascinated by London, and a lover of history, holding a Master's in Historical Research. I spend a lot of time walking London's streets, and exploring archives and libraries. My goal is to entertain you - and show you some of the secret and hidden places that you are unlikely to find by accident.

Qualifications

City of London, Clerkenwell and Islington, City of Westminster Qualified Guide, and a founder member of Camden Tour Guides Association.  Hold a Masters in Historical Research from the Institute of Historical Research.    I also founded and am a member of Footprints of London a guiding company offering tours around London.  I  have guided for the National Trust at 2 Willow Road, at Canonbury Tower in Islington. St John's Gateway in Clerkenwell and the Billingsgate Roman Bath House.

Guided Tours

Most of my walks are private, but I also do a few public walks with Footprints of London.  I'm interested in the odd and unusual, and pre-Fire of London London.  I'm also a Shakespearean enthusiast - and regularly show groups around areas of London associated with him.   I love showing people some of the fringe areas of the City of London - like Alsatia, Blackfriars, Holborn and Smithfield.

I'm prepared to research and create walks for individuals and groups.  I'm interested in Genealogy (and a member of the Society of Genealogists) so can research family histories, and lay on walks that explore the areas that your ancestors used to live and work in.
