By day Laura works for the City of London in a role that dates back to the middle ages, conducting an ancient ceremony and she often conducts tours for the Corporation. She was born just across the river in Lambeth and her family have been in London for over 200 years. She is very much a City of London insider and intimately involved with it's ceremonial life.
Laura conducts a variety of walks but they all have one thing in common; the intention to entertain and inform. She has a particular interest in the odd, quirky, antiquated and gruesome - perhaps because she spent several years as a University Librarian within London medical schools and is a fan of horror films.
Her walks are designed to introduce people to the London and Londoners of the past through looking at the London of the present. The best way to do this is to explore the City of London by walking its streets, peering into its gardens and exploring its secret corners - and doing this with other people is a fun option.
Laura conducts regular weekend walks which can be booked on-line via her website or email address. She is also happy to organise walks for groups or produce bespoke walks.
